    Every day, I sit across people who are high-functioning, smiling… and silently drowning.

    They don’t “look” depressed.
    They’re not “crazy.”
    They’re exhausted, anxious, overthinking, surviving — not living.

    And here’s what I want everyone to know:

    Therapy is not weakness.
    Medication is not failure.
    Mental illness is not a choice.
    But healing can be.

    What I’ve learned in 12+ years of psychiatry:

    Anxiety has 1000 faces — from sleeplessness to jaw pain.

    Depression doesn’t always cry — sometimes it just gets quiet.

    Bipolar isn’t drama — it’s neurochemistry.

    ADHD isn’t laziness — it’s wiring.

    OCD isn’t neatness — it’s distress disguised.

    We’re not just here to diagnose.
    We’re here to listen, unjudge, and hold space — until you’re ready to rebuild.
